Weekend Updates

Yesterday we had lunch with my cousin Victor, Jodi (his wife) and their son Trenton. They're house-sitting till April, so when went to check out the digs! We had a great turkey lunch and ended up being to lazy to move off the couches, so we stayed all afternoon. It was great to hang out, we love spending time with them. When they first moved here last summer we were all living a my parents place (my parents where away, most of the time, so we took over), we had a lot of fun together, and it was so great to have Jodi around to help with the baby!! Anyways, here are some pics from the afternoon.

Exhasted after a long day!

Not much else is happening here. Matt was at my parents all day laying floor in their basement. And I'm just spending some time on my new discovery, this Facebook thing...is anyone else a part of that? I know Sarah is. It's crazy, it's like all this people that I've lost touch with and wonder what they're doing, if their alive, have just magically appeared through Facebook, I was just introduced to it this week! Anyways, between keeping up on the blogs and talking to people from Facebook, poor Bethany doesn't stand a chance!!!! Just kidding, I'll still give her a good 5 minutes a day of my undivided attention! I am going for mom of the year!

Starring Bethany & Naomi...again!

Yesterday Sarah & Naomi came over for a playdate and lunch. The girls as usual had a great time playing together, especially in Bethany's play tent! It's hard to get good pics of them, because as soon as Sarah or I take out the camera they both start crawling over to get it!

This is the new tray I got for Bethany's bumbo seat. It's such a great idea! She ate her lunch in it, so Naomi could use her highchair. I love the bumbo and now it's even better with the tray for toys or food!

A few days ago, Bethany's uncle Karl (Matt's 14 yr old brother) stopped by for a visit. Bethany loves Karl so much & gets so excited when she sees him...it's so cute! And he's great to sit and play with her and entertain her. Once he's not scared of changing diapers, he'll be a great babysitter!!!

This has been such a fun week with Bethany, she's really trying to be more vocal and says Uh-Oh, everytime something falls. It's so cute. She also does the actions to the song "This little light of Mine", well as much as a 10 month old can do! I'm going to try and get some video up of her on this site.

Tonight I'm off to a evening of scrapbooking at the church, so I'm looking forward to that...after almost 5 years of marriage, I'm almost done my wedding scrapbook!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday Bethany & I went for lunch and a visit with Sarah & Naomi. We had a great time. The girls are so cute together, they both have pretty outgoing personalities so it's funny to watch them together, especially when they both decide they want the same toy! We attempted to stay for the afternoon and naptime, but Bethany was not interested in sleeping when there were so many new things to look at. She of course fell asleep in the car as soon as I left, so I drove around for awhile so she could have a little snooze.

We had such a great time yesterday! Thanks girls for having us over!!! No big plans for us for Valentine's today. We exchanged cards, and got Bethany a little pink stuffed hippo. We're looking forward to spending a quiet evening together as a family!

Welcome Baby Chloe!!!

Congrats to Tara & Colin on the arrival last night of 8lb 2oz Chloe Grace. Matt & I just got back from visiting them at the hospital. Chloe is very sweet and Tara looks great! It's so exciting to have another baby in our crew! With all these girls being born, Ryan's going to have lots of choices in about 17 years!

I may head back to the hospital later on for another visit. Ryan is also at the IWK for the night because of his cold, so I'll stop in and see Rachel and him to.

The Death Cold

Well Bethany is in the middle of her first cold. Runny nose, coughing and just feeling yucky. Pretty much everybody/baby we know has it, so there was no escaping it! She's still been happy though, she's a tough kid, I've definitely noticed a change in her appetite though, she's just not as interested in food these last couple of days. So that's been our excitement here, we all have this evil cold although Bethany & Matt have it worse than me.

In really exciting news, my friend Tara is finally in the process of having her baby!! She was due last Thursday, so we were all getting very impatient. So hopefully sometime tonight there'll be a new little one! It's such an exciting time. When I think back to having Bethany, it's so amazing, such a miracle. It just makes you stop and think of how awesome God is, that this little life comes into the world, forever changing you!!!
